Curriculum

Each participant will document their hopes and dreams for a better life. Our goal is to provide support, encouragement, promote trust, and build hope where there has been little or no hope for success outside of a life of criminal activity. Our curriculum includes speakers, written and interactive activities and one-on-one time with each student as needed or requested. Every week we incorporate a craft and activity that aligns with our weekly lesson. Upon completion of our program, the residents are surprised and gifted with a blanket or pillow that displays their creations. One of activities the students look forward to the most is, Career night. On this night each resident is photographed in the authentic attire of the profession they have chosen to pursue. We tell them on this night "if you can see it, you can be it. DREAM BIG!"

The Youth SOULutions agenda includes;

1. Anger management/Forgiveness
2. Substance abuse and other abuse
3. Sexual activity and Sex-Trafficking
4. Improving self-esteem and self-worth
5. Increasing respect for self and others
6. Understanding the importance of education
7. Socio-emotional improvement
8. Encourage spiritual enhancement

Youth SOULutions has several objectives including:

1. Increasing the number of young ladies completing high school and going on to higher education
2. Decrease recidivism Improve family dynamics and family unity
3. Increase cultural impact and reduce financial burden on the community
